River Restoration

“A partnership between the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation and the Nova Scotia Salmon Association”

The Sackville Rivers Association receives funds from the NSLC Adopt-A-Stream program to contribute to river restoration in the Sackville River Watershed. The SRA has recieved funds from Adpot-A-Stream to restore rivers and brooks in the Sackville River Watershed for many years. Now, thanks to new fundingfrom the NSLC, the SRA would have the ability to restore and enhannce even moresquare meters of fish habitat!

The SRA is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Sackville River Watershed. Due to industry and urbanization around the watershed, the protection of unique aquatic habitats is a constant concern. Most work takes place during the warm months due to low water levels.
